Issue Description: Users may not receive the join option in Teams iOS for meetings or calls active on another device.

Final Update: 14/07/2026 09:10:00 AM–Microsoft’s efforts to apply the developed configuration change across the affected environment is ongoing and progressing, though it’s taking longer than initially anticipated. Based on their revised current estimations, they now anticipate this application process will be completed, and issue will be resolved by their next scheduled communications update.

Scope of impact: Impact may occur for users joining Teams meetings or calls from the Microsoft Teams iOS app on a secondary device. This section may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A latent code issue introduced a dependency on an authentication configuration, preventing the companion join banner from functioning as expected.
