Final Update: 08/09/2026 08:42:00 AM – Microsoft’s fix has completed its deployment to all affected regions, resolving this impact.

Scope of impact: Some users who were attempting to view their Microsoft Teams contact lists may have been affected.

Root cause: A recent service update to improve the user interface of Microsoft Teams contact lists contained a code regression and was resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft is reviewing the responsible service update to better understand what led to the error that resulted in impact and prevent similar future occurrences.
