Issue Description: Users’ locations may not be accurate during iOS Microsoft Teams emergency calls.

More info: Affected users were still able to make iOS emergency calls, but their location might have been inaccurate to the responder. This was specific to users on iOS version 26 and newer.

Final Update: 02/09/2026 09:41:00 AM –After verifying with affected users that locations were accurate during iOS Microsoft Teams emergency calls, Microsoft has confirmed that the impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to users on iOS 26 or newer who made emergency calls using the Microsoft Teams application.

Root cause: A change within iOS API infrastructure resulted in inaccurate user location data being reported during iOS emergency calls.

Next steps: Microsoft is further analysing the offending change within iOS API infrastructure to help them improve their pre-deployment testing and validation processes and to help prevent similar issues in the future.
