Issue Description: Users have may seen outdated activity data in Microsoft Teams usage reports.

Final Update: 21/08/2026 04:53:00 PM – Microsoft has confirmed after monitoring the backfill process that the Teams activity data is now up-to-date and the impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may have intermittently impacted some users who attempted to view activity data in Microsoft Teams usage reports.

Root cause: An upstream data sources unexpectedly encountered delays, which resulted in multiple usage reports being outdated.

Next steps: Microsoft is continuing their analysis of the upstream data source to understand what caused the delays so they can improve their service’s resiliency to prevent similar issues from arising in the future.
