Issue Description: Admins may be unable to complete Microsoft Intune single-device queries in the Intune admin center.
More info: Admins are returned an error message stating, “An error occurred. If this happens again, contact your IT support.”
Current Update: 17/07/2026 08:44:00 AM – Microsoft is continuing to monitor the rollback to prevent signing validation mismatches. As the rollback propagates throughout the affected environment, affected users may experience relief from impact. Based on their current estimates, they expect the rollback to complete and the issue to be remediated by their next scheduled update.
Scope of impact: Some admins may be unable to complete Intune single-device queries in the Intune admin center and are returned an error message stating, “An error occurred. If this happens again, contact your IT support.” This section may be updated as the investigation continues.
Root cause: A recent deployment intended to update internal labeling for device query infrastructure introduced signing validation mismatches that’s resulting in device queries failing to complete.
