Issue Description: Users may be unable to adjust their camera brightness in Microsoft Teams settings

More info: When attempting to adjust camera brightness, users may receive a message stating “Adjust brightness is unavailable. Check your network connection, or contact your IT admin.”

Final Update: 08/05/2026 09:08:00 AM– Microsoft has confirmed that the builds have deployed to the remaining affected users and the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user attempting to adjust their camera brightness in Microsoft Teams settings.

Root cause: The ability to adjust camera brightness was previously disabled due to an unrelated issue where crashes in Microsoft Teams meetings were occurring due to a code issue relating to the setting.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing their code testing and validation procedures to identify and prevent similar issues with crashes in Microsoft Teams meetings that cause the ability to adjust camera brightness to no longer be operable, which will help us prevent similar impact from occurring in the future.
