Issue Description: Users may be unable to schedule Outlook calendar meetings or appointments from Copilot Chat.

More info: When users prompt Copilot Chat to schedule a meeting or appointment, the meeting or appointment may not be created, and Copilot Chat provides an error that states, “I ran into an issue while trying to finalize the meeting booking – it didn’t go through due to a system error.”

Final Update: 11/06/2026 09:36:00 AM – Microsoft has confirmed that our fix to correct the confirmation card manifest issue has been completed, and after monitoring service health telemetry to ensure the associated failures have ceased, we’ve verified the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Any user prompting Copilot Chat to schedule a meeting or appointment may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A recent service change designed to update the confirmation card provided by Copilot Chat when scheduling meetings or appointments is causing impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing our confirmation card manifest update processes to ensure all necessary steps are taken before future updates to prevent this from reoccurring.
