Issue Description: Some users can’t mirror SQL databases in Microsoft Fabric

More info: Impact occurs in newly created Microsoft Fabric SQL databases or in existing databases where new tables have been added or schema changes have recently been applied.

Final Update: 16/09/2025 09:12:00 AM – Microsoft deployment to correct the configuration completed successfully and they validated through our telemetry that the impact was remediated.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and any user attempting to mirror newly created Microsoft Fabric SQL databases or in existing databases where new tables have been added or schema changes have recently been applied is impacted.

Root cause: An Azure SQL deployment contains a misconfiguration that’s causing failures to occur when mirroring SQL databases in Microsoft Fabric.

Next Steps: Microsoft are working to implement additional preventative measures to help prevent similar misconfigurations from occurring during future Azure SQL deployments.
