Issue Description: Admins managed by scope tags may be unable to edit or view some Endpoint Security policies.

More Info: Impact is to some Endpoint Security policies in the Microsoft Intune admin center. Additionally, this only impacts non-global admins and policies that were previously edited.

Final Update: 29/09/2025 08:52:00 AM – Microsoft have completed the deployment of their fix to restore the impacted flow and determined the issue is remediated.

Scope of Impact: Some non-global admins managed by scope tags attempting to edit Endpoint Security policies that were previously edited in the Microsoft Intune admin center may be impacted.

Root Cause: A specific portion of code in the general service update meant to improve service performance isn’t updating the scope tags as expected, preventing non-global admins from editing some Endpoint Security policies in the Microsoft Intune admin center.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update testing and validation methods to better identify code issues such as this prior to deployment to prevent similar impact in the future.
