Final Update: 01/09/2025 08:20:00 AM – The update has been disabled and Microsoft have confirmed through service telemetry that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users attempting to see updated unread message counts for some folders in Outlook on the web and Outlook for Mac.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing their testing and validation processes to determine how they can identify similar issues prior to deployment and prevent impact from reoccurring.
