Issue Description: Group owners may be unable to create new or modify existing inbox rules for Microsoft 365 Groups in Outlook on the web.

Final Update: 04/06/2025 08:45:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed with users that this issue is resolved as a result of reverting the offending update.

Scope of impact: Group owners attempting to create new or modify existing inbox rules for Microsoft 365 Groups using Outlook on the web may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent service update to Outlook on the web contains a code issue that”s preventing conditions or actions from appearing when group owners attempt to create new or modifying existing inbox rules for Microsoft 365 Groups.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their validation and updating procedures to better detect and prevent issues like this prior to deployment in the future.
