Issue Description: Users may be unable to utilize automatic forwarding with their Exchange Online mailbox.
Final Update: 19/05/2025 08:50:00 AM – Microsoft concluded their testing effort and have determined that their fix is a viable solution for this issue. Representatives of organizations that would like us to re-forward any messages affected by this event are encouraged to contact Microsoft support and refer to this Service Health Dashboard post ID.
Scope of impact: This issue may impact a subset of users attempting to utilize automatic forwarding with their Exchange Online mailbox.
Root cause: A recent service update to address an unrelated service problem introduced an impacting code regression that is preventing some users from utilizing Exchange Online automatic forwarding.
