Issue Description: Users may be unable to retrieve email addresses using the SharePoint Online CSOM API.

Final Update: 29/12/2025 08:34:00 AM – Microsoft has completed deployment throughout all affected environments and after monitoring the service, they have verified that this action has successfully remediated the problem.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to retrieve email addresses via the SharePoint Online CSOM API may be impacted. This section may be updated as the investigation progresses.

Root cause: A recent standard update to the service wasn’t properly deployed and is preventing users from retrieving email addresses using the SharePoint Online CSOM API.
