Issue Status: ONGOING

Issue Description: Users may be unable to utilize avatar and video filtering features in Microsoft Teams for Mac.

Current Update: 23/04/2025 09:02:00 AM – While the deployment of Microsoft’s fix is underway, both the avatar and video filtering features will need to be re-enabled following their fix’s saturation. They’re working to identify a remediation timeline, and they’re in the initial stages of evaluating the re-enablement of these features within their testing environment.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user utilizing Microsoft Teams for Mac.

Root cause: As a result of TM1047137, we’ve disabled the avatar and video filtering features in Microsoft Teams for Mac to resolve crashes which were previously occurring for users.
