Issue Description: Some users can’t join Microsoft Teams meetings on Windows devices.

More info: Users can restart their Microsoft Teams client to access meetings.

This issue is specific to joining scheduled meetings or joining meetings through links.

Final Update: 01/05/2026 09:07:00 AM– The fix has propagated to all affected infrastructure and Microsoft has confirmed through monitoring service health telemetry that the impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: : Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to join a Microsoft Teams meeting are impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A recent Edge release introduced a regression that’s resulting in failures for some users when attempting to join meetings in Microsoft Teams.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reveiwing the impacting Edge release to determine why the regression wasn’t identified during our pre-deployment testing. This investigation will allow us to improve their pre-deployment processes and prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
