Issue Description: Users’ sign-out button and account details may have been inaccessible in multiple Microsoft 365 services on the web.

More info: Affected M365 services on the web included but weren’t limited to Outlook on the web, OneDrive Web, and SharePoint Online Web where users may have been unable to access the account drop-down in the top right of the web client, preventing them from accessing the sign-out button and account details in this location.

Final Update: 02/07/2026 10:10:00 AM– Microsoft has determined that a recent service migration between infrastructure environments introduced an issue that resulted in service impact. To restore service, they reverted the change and rolled the affected service back to the previous infrastructure. Following the rollback and continued monitoring of service telemetry, they are confirmed that service functionality has been fully restored and the issue is no longer occurring.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users attempting to sign-out button and account details in multiple Microsoft 365 services on the web.

Root cause: A recent service migration between infrastructure environments introduced an issue that resulted in service impact.

Next steps: Microsoft is reviewing their deployment processes to implement corrective measures in order to help prevent similar issues from reoccurring during future infrastructure migrations.
