Issue Description: Some admins may be unable to export Microsoft 365 datasets through Microsoft Graph Data Connect.

Final Update: 13/10/2025 08:35:00 AM – Microsoft ‘s fix has completed deploying and has corrected the authorization component misconfiguration. They’ve observed from their telemetry that failures have stopped occurring, confirming that our solution has resolved the issue.

Scope of impact: Impact may have occurred for some admins who attempted to export Microsoft 365 datasets through Microsoft Graph Data Connect.

Root Cause: A recent service configuration change intended to update internal components resulted in an authorization component misconfiguration and caused Microsoft Graph Data Connect dataset extraction failures

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their service configuration change procedures to understand why impact to Microsoft 365 datasets through Microsoft Graph Data Connect wasn’t caught during the testing phase so that they can prevent similar impact in the future, and to improve their pre-deployment processes.
