Final Update: 19/05/2025 08:30:00 AM – Microsoft have validated with service health telemetry that the deployment with the updated build containing a fix to restore the service has completed and alleviated impact as anticipated.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users attempting to search for email messages containing specific file types.

Root Cause: A feature to improve the search functionality was resulting in impact.

Next update by: Microsoft are analyzing the feature build that resulted in the issue to better understand how to prevent impact like this in the future.
