Issue Description: Users can’t place calls or join meetings in Microsoft Teams web client.

More info: As a workaround, affected users can restart their browser and sign back in to resolve the issue.

Final Update: 24/03/2025 04:50:00 PM – Following Microsoft extended service monitoring, their internal service telemetry has verified that users restarting their Microsoft Teams clients has successfully remediated the impact.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users can’t place calls or join meetings through the Microsoft Teams web client.

Root cause: A recent change to improve authentication efficiency requires a client restart, and a failure to do so results in issues joining calls or meetings.

Next update by: Microsoft are further analyzing the offending authentication improvement to help us isolate similar problems during their pre-deployment testing and validation processes.
