Information – Planned Infrastructure Change (07/03/2025)

During a planned DNS migration activity (CHG1190773), an unforeseen issue with the nhs.net MX record was encountered, leading to the change being reverted. The impact of this change would have meant up to 1 hour delay for any e-mails originating from Internet sources, being delivered to nhs.net addresses. Note, e-mails from nhs.uk and from the high send SMTP service would not have been impacted. The time window for the delay was between 18:10 and 19:10 on the 07th March 2025.

The change will be re-attempted at a later date once the root cause of the issue impacting the migration has been identified and remediated.
