Issue Description: Users may have received an error when attempting to share to Outlook in Microsoft Teams.

More info: The right-click menu containing the “Share in Outlook” feature may not have been available for the affected users in Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 11/03/2025 09:10:00 AM – Microsoft have completed deploying the previously mentioned fix to the impacted service environments, and they have subsequently monitored their service health telemetry to confirm that the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to share to Outlook in Microsoft Teams by utilizing the “Share in Outlook” feature may have been impacted.

Root cause: A recent update to the Microsoft Teams code base that facilitates sharing to Outlook introduced a code error that prevented share requests from being fulfilled, leading to impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their Microsoft Teams service update procedures pertaining to the code base responsible for fulfilling the impacted share requests to prevent similar impact in future updates.
