Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Some users may be unable to create new chats in Microsoft Teams iOS client on certain iPhone models.

Final Update: 03/03/2025 09:35:00 AM – Microsoft have completed reverting the offending configuration change to disable the offending code and validated with internal testing that the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Some users on certain iPhone devices that were attempting to create new chats in the Microsoft Teams iOS client may have been impacted.

Root cause: A recent configuration change update to the Microsoft Teams iOS client contained a code issue that prevented users from creating new chats as expected on certain iPhone models.

Next steps: Microsoft are further reviewing the recent update to understand how the code issue was introduced, and to understand what prevented it from being detected in our update testing and validation procedures, which will allow them to prevent similar issues in future updates.
