Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Users may not see updates synced to their calendar in Microsoft Teams.
More info: This issue may have also prevented the affected users from utilizing the calendar within Microsoft Teams to create and manage scheduled meetings that were intended to be synced with the Outlook desktop client, Outlook on the web, and Exchange Online.
This impact was limited to users viewing the calendar in Microsoft Teams. Where possible, affected users could bypass the impact by accessing their calendar using the Outlook desktop client, or the Outlook web or mobile apps.
Additionally, a subset of users may have been able to bypass impact by navigating to the options menu in the Microsoft Teams title bar and selecting the toggle to enable the New Calendar in environments where this feature was enabled. If the New Calendar option wasn’t visible, the feature hasn’t been made available in your organization’s environment.
Final Update: 11/12/2024 08:55:00 AM – Microsoft have determined that the fix deployment has completed, and after a period of monitoring, they have confirmed that the impact was remediated.
Scope of impact: This issue impacts a small subset of users viewing their calendar in Microsoft Teams.
Root cause: Some components of infrastructure responsible for syncing calendar updates in Microsoft Teams are encountering an error that’s preventing these syncs from completing, resulting in impact.
Next steps: To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing the underlying cause of the components encountering an error that was preventing these syncs from completing.
