Issue Description: Admins may be unable to access the config.office.com web page.

More Information: Affected admins may see the page not loading and “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT” errors.

Current Update: 11/10/2024 17:47:00 PM – Microsoft have updated the Title and User Impact sections of this communication to reflect the overall impact to the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center web page. They have also updated the More info section with additional impact to the Cloud Policy Service.

Microsoft have rebalanced traffic in all regions excluding the Europe region, and they are rebalancing their service infrastructure in Europe to fully resolve the issue. They will aim to provide a timeline for this process to complete by their next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: This issue can potentially impact any admin who’s served through the affected infrastructure and attempting to access the config.office.com web page.

Root cause: A traffic management misconfiguration is causing a section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating the config.office.com web page, to operate below acceptable performance thresholds.
