Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may be unable to access the OneDrive for Business.

More info: As a means to avoid the issue while we resolve the problem, some users have had success changing their DNS address server configuration settings to 8.8.8.8. This can be completed by performing the following steps on a per-user level:

1 – From the Windows Start menu, proceed to “View network connections.”
2 – Identify the network connection you”re using, right click and select “Properties.”
3 – Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
4 – Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 and select “Properties”.
5 – Select “Use the following DNS server addresses”.
6 – Under “Preferred DNS server” input “8.8.8.8”.
7 – Press the “OK” button.

Final Update: 19/03/2024 09:15:00 AM After a period of close monitoring, Microsoft have confirmed that this issue has been resolved following their reversion of the service change found to be causing the problem.

Scope of impact: Users attempting to access OneDrive for Business may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent service change to upgrade Azure Domain Name System (DNS) compatibility resulted in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their Azure DNS compatibility service change processes so they can better identify similar issues during our testing and development cycles and avoid comparable impact in the future.
