Issue Description: Some external users with email One Time Password (OTP) authentication may be unable to access OneDrive for Business.
Current Update: 06/08/2024 17:03:00 PM – Microsoft have identified that a recent standard service update inadvertently contained a code regression which resulted in impact. They have deployed a fix and validated with impacted users that the issue is now resolved.
Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users who were served through the affected infrastructure.
Root Cause: A recent standard service update inadvertently contained a code regression that resulted in impact. We’ll provide more information within the Post Incident Report (PIR).
Next Steps by: Microsoft are reviewing our standard service update procedures to help prevent similar problems in the future.
They will provide a preliminary Post-Incident Report within two business days and a final Post-Incident Report within five business days.
