Issue Description: Users may see incorrect names and profile pictures listed in chats when using the Microsoft Teams iOS app.

More Information: While profile names and profile pictures are incorrect, the names and pictures are from users within their organization.

Impact is specific to devices that have Apple Intelligence with encryption enabled, and who are on the latest iOS version 18.1.

While they are focused on remediation, some users may be able to avoid impact by disabling Apple Intelligence for affected devices.

Final Update: 23/10/2024 08:35:00 AM Microsoft have verified that the aforementioned fix is available in the App Store and users should check to see if they’re on version 6.19.2 as this is the version that remediates impact. If impact persists after updating the app, users may have corrupted Microsoft Teams data and should delete their app. then reinstall version 6.19.2 from the App Store to resolve this issue.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to view chats and user profiles in the Microsoft Teams iOS version 18.1 app, and who has Apple Intelligence with Encryptions enabled may be impacted.

Root cause: An update to an Apple Intelligence component in iOS version 18.1 introduced a database configuration which was incompatible with the previous Microsoft Teams app and caused users to see incorrect names or profile pictures.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing the previous version of the Microsoft Teams iOS app to determine why it was incompatible with the recent iOS update, so they can prevent similar impact from occurring in the future.
