Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Users may be unable to copy and paste specific metadata when copying and pasting messages in Microsoft Teams.
More info: This change in behavior removed metadata such as timestamps, sender name, and reactions for text copied within the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients. They recommend alternative methods for capturing metadata: the Forward feature for message transfer between chats and the Teams Export API for conversation extraction. These tools are more robust and prevent manipulation of message content.
Final Update: 05/09/2024 09:06:00 AM – The investigation is complete and Microsoft have determined that the service is healthy. A service incident didn’t actually occur as we determined the change in behavior to be by design due to a change we made to reduce the noise of metadata when copying and pasting messages in the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients.
