Issue Description: Some users screensharing or sharing a video in the Microsoft Teams desktop client may not see part of the video.
More Info: This issue affected all users who utilized a WebView2 version prior to version 128.
Final Update: 06/02/2025 08:36:00 AM – After further review of recent updates to the Microsoft Teams desktop client, Microsoft have located the offending configuration change and have disabled the configuration change. After a period of internal service monitoring for errors, they’ve confirmed that impact is resolved.
Scope of impact: Some users worldwide, screensharing or sharing video in the Microsoft Teams desktop client may have not seen part of the video.
Root cause: A recent configuration change made to Microsoft Teams changed the position of videos shared in Microsoft Teams and has resulted in videos being cut off.
Next steps: Microsoft are analyzing the impacting configuration change further to better understand the underlying root cause of impact and what steps they can take during their update validation and testing phase to ensure similar impact does not occur and future and to improve the quality standard of our updates moving forward.
