NHSmail Reference: INC47377440
Microsoft Reference: TM953645
Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Users on Microsoft Teams for iOS may be unable to see screenshares after initiating a whiteboard during meetings.
More info: Impact is specific to Microsoft Teams iOS builds past mid-2022.
Impacted users who initiated the Microsoft Teams whiteboard can leave and rejoin the meeting to view screenshares.
Final Update: 04/02/2025 08:30:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed our deployment has completed, and an updated version of Microsoft Teams for iOS, containing the fix, is available in the App Store for users to manually download to remediate impact. Users who don’t manually download the updated version, and whose devices are set to auto-update, will receive the updated version based on their automated update schedule.
Scope of impact: Some users on Microsoft Teams for iOS may be unable to see screenshares after initiating a whiteboard during Teams meetings.
Root cause: A feature flag introduced to Microsoft Teams, intended to move whiteboard content to the main Microsoft Teams stage, contains a regression that’s causing the whiteboard initiator to be unavailable during screensharing.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing the configurations of the feature flag to identify how a regression was missed prior to the feature flag being introduced and better prevent similar occurrences in the future.
