Issue Description: Some users may have been unable to create or run Office scripts in Excel and Power Automate.

More Info: Impact occurred in both the Excel web and desktop applications.

Final Update: 06/02/2025 08:45:00 AM Microsoft have rerouted requests to alternate infrastructure, and confirmed that the issue has been remediated after an extended period of monitoring.

Scope of impact: This issue impacted a specific data center within the EMEA region, and could have impacted any requests served through that data center.

Root cause: Microsoft’s investigation is currently focused on a recent service deployment that resulted in 403 errors for Directory service permission requests. They’re performing detailed root cause analysis and will provide further details within the Post-Incident Report (PIR).

Next steps: Microsoft are analyzing system telemetry, error logs, and the specific configurations of the recent update to isolate the underlying root cause.
