Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Users may not receive app protection policies applied for apps that rely on specific policies.
More info: The affected policies are existing policies targeting “All Apps” and some other app categories and newly created policies are unaffected.
As Microsoft work to remediate the impact affected users can utilize the steps outlined in the following link to work around the problem.
Current Update: 10/09/2024 08:42:00 AM – After an extended period of monitoring the service infrastructure, Microsoft have confirmed that the fix has deployed throughout the affected environment, remediating impact.
Scope of impact: This issue may prevent any user with apps that rely on the specific affected policies from having app protection policies applied.
Root cause: An automated service process to help improve the onboarding of newly included apps has experienced an impacting configuration issue.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update vetting procedures to help ensure impact of this nature doesn’t reoccur with future updates.
