NHSmail Reference: INC44605671
Microsoft Reference: MB834869
Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Users may be able to access the Bookings with Me feature even though it has been blocked for the organization.
More info: While we work on implementing a long-term solution, users may be able to set their EWSEnabled setting value to TRUE using the PowerShell command “Set-OrganizationConfig -EWSEnabled:$true” as an immediate workaround.
Final Update: 07/08/2024 15:21:00 PM – Microsoft have confirmed with some affected users that impact has been remediated.
Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users, who were served through the affected infrastructure, that admins intended to block from using the Bookings with Me functionality.
Root cause: A recent standard backend infrastructure migration, intended to improve general service reliability and performance, inadvertently introduced a regression where the EWSEnabled null value was being treated as a negative value instead of previously positive.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their standard backend infrastructure migration procedures to better identify similar issues during their development and testing cycles.
