Issue Description: Users see incorrect room availability information in the Room Finder within Exchange Online.
More info: Affected users may see inconsistent information between Scheduling Assistant and Room Finder within Exchange Online, specific to room availability.
Impact may manifest in any Exchange Online connection method, including but not limited to the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web.
Final Update: 29/10/2024 08:41:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed with a subset of affected users that impact is remediated following their rollback of the service update causing the issue.
Scope of impact: Some users serviced by the affected portions of infrastructure see incorrect information when using the Room Finder within Exchange Online.
Root cause: A change contained within a recent service update that’s altering the way certain time zone-related data was being handled by the service to resolve an unrelated issue is resulting in impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing and improving our service update validation procedures to prevent similar time zone-related issues from causing impact in the future.
