Issue Description: Some users may see two browser tabs opening when clicking on URL links in Outlook on the web.
Final Update: 10/10/2024 08:45:00 AM – The deployment of the fix has completed, and after a period of monitoring, Microsoft have confirmed impact was remediated.
Scope of impact: Some users that clicked on URL links in email messages on Outlook on the web may have been impacted
Root cause: A service deployment to Outlook on the web contained a code regression that was causing duplicate browser tabs to appear when URL links were opened.
Next steps: To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing their deployment release procedures to identify regressions before being released.
