Issue Description: Users may be unable to paste images into the body of email messages in Outlook on the web.

More info: Some affected users have reported that they may be able to bypass impact by using the CTRL + V keyboard shortcut to paste images into the body of email messages in Outlook on the web.

Final Update: 11/03/2024 08:51:00 AM – The fix including the missing code has finished deploying and Microsoft have confirmed after monitoring telemetry that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Users serviced by the affected infrastructure who attempt to paste images into the main body of email messages may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent standard service change was missing an expected portion of code, leading to impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing the impacting service change to understand how the portion of code wasn’t included with this change and why this wasn’t identified in their pre-deployment processes so they can prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
