Issue Description: Users can’t access SharePoint Online sites and receive an authentication error.

Final Update: 13/02/2024 08:38:00 AM – After Microsoft’s period of monitoring, they’ve confirmed that their secondary fix has successfully remediated impact for the remaining subset of users.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to access SharePoint Online sites may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent update intended to optimize the code path leveraged for users’ sign-ins introduced a code issue, resulting in impact.
