Issue Description: Participants couldn’t be added to meetups or calls.

More info: Additionally, users may have been unable to receive real-time chat messages or calls in Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 04/12/2023 08:45:00 AM – Microsoft have identified that a section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating some meeting functionalities became unresponsive, due to a caching overload issue which resulted in impact. They’ve disabled the affected caching and rerouted user traffic to alternate infrastructure to aid with the overload. They’ve further confirmed that the issue is has been resolved after an extended period of monitoring.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users who were served through the affected infrastructure.

Next steps: Microsoft are analyzing their affected caching systems to help understand what caused the overload, in order to prevent this issue from happening again.
