Star Release – Content Summary

The NHSmail Portal release is named in honour of Clive Star. Clive left the NHS last month after 30 years’ service, with 22 years in national roles. Throughout Clive’s career, he worked on groundbreaking transformational programmes, delivered across the entire NHS that have the legacy of making a positive difference for patients and staff alike. Over those years, Clive worked with multiple teams to evolve and innovate some of our most critical national services, including NHSmail, Microsoft Defender and the Health and Social Care Network.

Clive was involved with the NHSmail service from its earliest inception, right up to the most recent security enhancements made to improve the service, and has rightly earned the nickname, the “Grandfather of NHSmail”.

The NHSmail team are privileged to have been able to work with Clive over so many years and to share in his deep intellect and passion for improving our services. We all wish Clive the best for his future adventures outside the NHS.
