05/10/2023 09:25:00 AM (GMT)

NHSmail Reference : INC38685608

Microsoft Reference : MO679261

Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Some admins using Call Quality Dashboard and associated Power BI reporting may see data discrepancies for PSTN calls.

More info : Call Quality Dashboard classifies call participants as “first” or “second” for reporting purposes. In some calling scenarios, such as peer-to-peer calls between Public switched telephone network (PSTN) and Microsoft Teams endpoints, these classifications might appear flipped so that participants ordinarily classified as “first” are now “second” and visa-versa. Because of this behavior, related Power BI reporting may appear to have missing or inconsistent data.

Final Update : 09/10/2023 08:51:00 AM The code fix has deployed and Microsoft have confirmed via telemetry that the classification of the affected calling endpoints in the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) for Power BI have been set to the correct respective values

Scope of impact : Impact may occur for some admins using Call Quality Dashboard and associated Power BI reporting may see data discrepancies for PSTN calls.

Root cause : A code defect that inverted the classification of certain calling endpoints in Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) for Power BI reporting resulted in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing the code defect that caused the classification of certain calling endpoints in the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) to become inverted, to ensure that similar issues like this don’t occur in the future.
