Final Update : 16/10/2023 08:56:00 AM – Microsoft have completed running optimizations and confirmed that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact was specific to admins who were being served through the affected infrastructure.

Root cause: The analytics system encountered unexpected errors in ingesting OneDrive accounts complete activity logs, resulting in inaccuracies of the generated usage metrics.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their data collection and monitoring procedures to reduce detection time and identify potential automated recovery options to avoid similar issues in the future.
