Issue Description : Users may be unable to create chats, meetings, channels and teams within the Microsoft Teams service.

Final Update : 18/09/2023 11:25:00 AM – Microsoft have identified that an unexpected surge in user traffic caused by a recent feature deployment, inadvertently caused impact. They’ve ran service optimization commands to accommodate the increase and prevent further impact. Once the service returned to acceptable performance levels, they reverted the feature deployment to fully remediate impact.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to users hosted within Europe, South Africa and the UK.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their service update and deployment procedures to prevent this issue from happening again.
