Issue Description : Some users may be intermittently unable to check-in their Microsoft Intune devices.

More info : Users may be intermittently unable to check-in their Microsoft Intune devices. This may cause a delay in the length of time it take to enrol a device. Once the device checks in correctly, it will then pull down all configurations and policies.

Final Update : 06/07/2023 08:54:00 AM – Microsoft’s extended period of system monitoring has confirmed that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

Root cause : A section of SQL database infrastructure, responsible for regulating Microsoft Intune device check-in functionality, compliance and policy updates, is unexpectedly operating below acceptable performance thresholds.

Next steps : Microsoft are further analyzing the affected SQL database infrastructure and their automated recovery methods, in their efforts to address similar issues before they can result in impact.
