Issue Description : Users may see an incorrect rendering of SharePoint Online lists when using the ‘group by date’ grouping field.

More info : When grouping and sorting SharePoint Online lists, the ‘group by date’ field may be rendering the value one day less than expected.

Final Update : 27/06/2023 17:12:00 PM – Microsoft’s recent service change review has identified an update that resulted in impact, which caused users to see an incorrect rendering of SharePoint Online lists when using the ”group by date” grouping field. After reverting the offending service change, they’ve internally verified that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to any user served through the affected infrastructure attempting to utilize the ‘group by date’ grouping field in SharePoint Online lists.

Next steps : Microsoft are further analyzing the offending service update so they can better understand the impact that was produced, and so they can identify similar issues during their validation and testing processes and before they can result in impact.
