Issue Description : Users may be unable to enroll iOS devices in the Microsoft Intune service
Final Update : 16/05/2023 08:49:00 AM – Microsoft confirmed through their extended monitoring and through confirmation from some formerly affected users the issue is now resolved.
Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure attempting to enroll iOS and MacOS devices in Microsoft Intune.
Root cause : Mitigative efforts resolving a recent authentication configuration issue didn’t reflect as expected in the cache. This led to the retrieval of problematic authentication configuration information when users attempted to enroll, which resulted in impact.
Next steps : Microsoft are investigating why the cache didn’t reflect updated authentication configuration information so they can ensure the issue doesn’t reoccur in the future.
