Issue Description : Some users may experience intermittent errors when using Microsoft Planner via the Web App.

More Information : Impact scenarios are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Unable to access/use Microsoft Planner via the Web App
  • Error messages when trying to access the Tasks by Planner app via Microsoft Teams

Final Update : 16/03/2023 12:25:00 PM – Microsoft have identified that a section of mailbox database infrastructure was performing below the acceptable performance threshold, causing impact. Our automated recovery systems took action and returned the service to acceptable thresholds, and they’ve confirmed after a period of monitoring the environment that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users located in the Northern European region.

Root cause : A section of mailbox database infrastructure, responsible for Microsoft Planner access, was performing below acceptable performance thresholds.

Next steps : Microsoft are analyzing performance data and trends on the affected infrastructure to help prevent this problem from happening again.
