Issue Description : Some users may be unable to export eDiscovery (Standard) cases from the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.

More Information : While Microsoft focus on remediation, affected users may be able to export eDiscovery (Standard) cases from the Microsoft Purview compliance portal using PowerShell.

Final Update : 10/03/2023 08:10:00 AM – After additional analysis into the offending service change that was intended to improve the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, they determined that the change had introduced an impacting feature that was resulting in impact. After disabling the offending feature, Microsoft have internally validated that exporting eDiscovery (Standard) cases from the Microsoft Purview compliance portal has been restored and that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

Next steps : Microsoft are further analyzing the offending service update to better understand why it resulted in impact so that they can identify similar issues during their validation and testing processes and before they produce impact.
