Issue Description : Users are unable to send Short Message Service (SMS) notifications from the Bookings app within Microsoft Teams.

More Information : Users are unable to send SMS notifications from the Bookings app within Microsoft Teams.

Final Update : 17/02/2023 15:30:00 PM – Microsoft have received confirmation from your organization’s representatives that their additional fix was effective, and impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Your organization is affected and all users sending SMS Bookings notifications from the Bookings app within Microsoft Teams are impacted.

Root cause : A recent service maintenance update inadvertently caused impact. Following initial mitigation, persisting impact was observed to be caused by an unexpected network authentication component misconfiguration.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their service maintenance update and network authentication procedures to help prevent this problem from happening again.
