Issue Description : Users are unable to search or open third-party apps within all Microsoft Teams connection methods.

More Information : Specifically, users assigned the “global app permission” policy are impacted.

Final Update : 23/01/2023 07:00:00 AM– Microsoft has confirmed that a recently enabled feature intended to add support for group policy assignment functionality was causing a mismatch in the list of global policy documents being returned by the policy service, resulting in the impact. They have successfully disabled the offending feature and rerouted requests, and confirmed with affected users that this issue is no longer occurring.

Scope of impact : Any user assigned the “global app permission” policy attempting to search or open third-party apps within Microsoft Teams may have been impacted.

Root Cause : A recently enabled feature intended to add support for group policy assignment functionality was causing a mismatch in the list of global policy documents being returned by the policy service, resulting in the impact.
