Issue Description : Users’ email font is unexpectedly changing in a specific scenario when using Outlook on the web.
More info : This impact occurs when a user presses the enter button twice followed by pressing the backspace button. Avoiding this sequence will prevent the issue from occurring.
Scope of impact : Any user that presses the enter button twice followed by the backspace button may see the font in their email change unexpectedly when using Outlook on the web.
Final Update : 24/01/2023 08:55:00 AM – Microsoft has verified with some affected users that the issue has now been resolved. Users still experiencing impact may need to reload their browser’s Outlook on the web session and clear their cache to allow the fix to fully remediate the issue.
Root cause : A code issue introduced in a recent update of Outlook on the web removes the font style in specific scenarios, resulting in impact.
Next steps : Microsoft is reviewing their Outlook on the web update procedures so they can better identify similar issues during their testing and development cycles and avoid comparable impact in the future.
